News Corp.'s MySpace and Facebook have promised to release tools to incorporate profile data, friends lists and other social functions. I would say it is smart and bold move on New's Corp's sites! IT will defiantly open the doors to endless possibilities like a few of the other bookmarking sites have. I have found a few other social networking sites , well more of social bookmarking sites that allow you to pull in your other bookmarks and data! I like what the social site-hopping style will for networking. The idea came from complaints of people having to retype new profiles on every social networking site out there! I laughed when i heard this! All you gotta do is copy and paste information from your a text pad! Well like most people this is what i did for my first 20 sites! Then one day i found a site that I could just copy my profile information from and paste to anywhere! Bebo is the site and it is pretty cool but i haven't had many visits on it but works great for me!
They will use software that will allow places like Ebay and other site to pull your information! I laughed when i read the article on Yahoo and wondered! Why in the world do you just not pull a RSS feed from your profile and share it in this manner? It seems so simple to me after seeing how many sites are making widgets and add-ons that allow you to pull your feed to your site! Actually it is web marketers dream machine and can be a super I mean super duper tool for finding clients "surfers!"
I could actually see the system that comes out would be like a widget machine that allows you make a profile widget and has an option for raw code or web address or maybe even a feed! YOu got to admit the heat is on and the web movement just got a good bit hotter! It is turning into a big chili cooking contest and the big dawns want to win!
The big argument on making a move to open profile information for the world to see. See the truth is, anytime you Publish information on the net is out in space and can be copied. Once you said it is done much like being recorded by video or in pencil, but much easier to copy and paste! So you should be willing to express you voice and understand that there can always repercussions from what you say. So be real and understand that there are boundries on the net just like real life, you may one day lay president to a new cyber law!
I really think that having a company like Google releasing software for information sharing is awesome and will open many doors. For now I see Google being a leader in information and be a leader in the new web movement! I use Adsense, Adwords, Blogger, and few other google services and enjoy the easy to use style they have! Can't wait to see what they come out with in a few weeks! Stay Tuned!
